The Pacers matched up for the 2nd time against the very well balanced Sonics team and despite their best efforts, fell 45 to 19. Our shots just wouldn’t drop for us today and defensively the girls really did their best to stifle the Sonics tough offense and the score doesn’t reflect some really great things that went on during the match. Our defense was led by Maisan Nguyen and Lily Gigante as they both stepped up huge today with monster defense under the net and at the top of the Key. Nguyen played her best game yet as she spoiled several fast breaks by the Sonics with her lightning fast speed and Gigante came away with 4 blocks and 6 rebounds as a result her tenacious play. Katie Polimeno kept her laser focus throughout the game and moved the ball nicely on offense trying to get things going. Abby MacCallister once again, stepped up for us today with solid work on both ends of the court. Ally Ragusa and Jaylee Howard had several tie ups that gained possession for us and Ragusa also collected 3 boards today. Jamie Munroe continues to be a thorn in the side of our opponents as she took home 3 blocks & 5 rebounds. Awesome bench support from Adrianna Niles & Lexi Polimeno! Our offense was led by MacCallister (7), Katie Polimeno (5), Nguyen (2), Ragusa (2), Munroe (2) & Gigante (1).
