  • I will enjoy the opportunity to experience the benefits of basketball.
  • I will trust in my ability to have fun as well as to perform and achieve excellence on my own.
  • I will help myself to learn the right lessons from winning and losing and from individual accomplishments and mistakes.
  • I will respect my parents, teammates, and fellow players, and coaches of the opposing teams.
  • I will give only encouragement and applaud only positive accomplishments whether for teammates, my opponents, the officials or myself. I will respect my coach and support his/her efforts
  • I will insure I will do my best to attend all games and practices possible and, when not possible, I agree to inform the coach in advance.
  • I will respect all facilities made available so I can play games and practice basketball. I will stay in the gym area, and not in the school hallways.
  • I will respect and return in good condition any equipment or uniform that may be loaned to me so that I can participate.
  • I will respect the officials and their authority during games.
  • I will never demonstrate threatening or abusive behavior or use foul language.
  • I will follow all policies/procedures of the TEWKSBURY GIRLS BASKETBALL LEAGUE and the Tewksbury School Department while at their facilities.
  • I will not disparage anyone in the league in person or on social media.
 

 

 

  • I will enjoy my child’s opportunity to experience the benefits of basketball.
  • I will trust in my child’s ability to have fun as well as to perform and achieve excellence on her own.
  • I will help my child to learn the right lessons from winning and losing and from individual accomplishments and mistakes.
  • I will respect my child’s teammates and fellow parents as well as the players, parents and coaches from opposing teams.
  • I will give only encouragement and applaud only positive accomplishments whether for my child, her teammates, their opponents or the officials. I will respect my child’s coach and support his/her efforts.
  • I will not instruct from the sidelines unless asked to do so by the coach.
  • I will insure that my child will attend all games and practices possible and, when not possible, I agree to inform the coach in advance.
  • I will respect all facilities made available so my child can play games and practice her sport. I will ensure children are not left unattended or allowed to play or loiter in other parts of the facility.
  • I will respect any equipment or uniform that may be loaned to my child so that she can participate.  I will be responsible for any damage caused by my child to the facility, uniforms, or equipment.
  • I will respect the officials and their authority during games.
  • I will never demonstrate threatening or abusive behavior or use foul language.

§ I will not disparage anyone in the league in person or on social media.

  • I will be responsible to report to TEWKSBURY GIRLS BASKETBALL any perceived misconduct by coach, player, parent/guardian, or official so it can be dealt with in the appropriate manner.

 

 

 

 

 

Tewksbury Girls Basketball has a zero tolerance policy. Violators will be asked to leave the gym immediately and further disciplinary action will be reviewed immediately by the TGBL Board. This league is in operation to promote the education, recreation, and enjoyment of girls playing basketball, and any inappropriate behavior cannot exist in this enviro
