ABOUT TGBL

Tewksbury Girls' Basketball League (TGBL) is a non-profit organization with the purpose of providing Tewksbury girls from Kindergarten to 8th grade the opportunity to play organized basketball; become more knowledgeable about the game; gain self-confidence; and foster team development, sportsmanship and fair play.

TGBL has a Clinic program for girls in K, 1st & 2rd grade, and a Recreational Program (In-Town) for girls between the 3rd grade and the 8th grade. TGBL also has a Travel Program for 4th grade through 8th grade. The travel teams play in the competitive River Valley League. Our season runs primarily from November to March.

The In-Town Program has three divisions: Junior (3rd & 4th grade), Intermediate (5th & 6th grade), and Senior (7th & 8th grade). The games for the this program are played at Tewksbury High School on Saturdays between November and March. Practices are held once per week for all 3 levels of this program during the season.

Registration for the Clinic and In-Town programs will be open in the fall. Registrations will be accepted as space allows.

Travel team tryouts are held in late September for the season. Information regarding tryouts is posted on this website when available.

TGBL awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors that participated in the league. Scholarships are awarded primarily based upon the years involved in the league and the amount time that the player volunteers their time back to TGBL for tasks such as: assisting at clinic, refereeing, and running the clock and keeping score during games.
